Dr. Adam McKee's

Probation and Parole

Spring 2006

Welcome to the course!

This page is the Index to the class, and is the one you should bookmark so that you can easily come back to it.

If you are a UAM student taking this class for credit, you need to make sure you are enrolled in  C J 3353 PROBATION/PAROLE.  Make sure that you have finalized your bill with the cashiers office! (If your schedule gets dropped, you will have to reregister, late and in person, which means you must pay a fee.)

This class will be taught asynchronously--that's a fancy way of saying that we will never meet online at the same time.  Everything that we do will be done in units and you must have your work done by the unit deadline.  So, as long as you meet the unit deadlines, you can work at your own pace.  If you really love probation and parole, working faster than the calendar is acceptable.

You will still be a member of a community of scholars. We will use discussion boards on this site in place of classroom discussions.  This gives us the learning benefit of discussion without the need to all be together at the same time.  Everyone is expected to participate.

All of the content for this course will come from this website, other websites, and your text.  For each unit, you will be provided with explicit instructions as to what is expected of you.  This will involve more writing that you are accustomed to in regular classes, but since you don't have to come to class, the time you have to spend on the course will be about the same.

You Must be Familiar With All Pages Concerning this Course.
